| Norma & Dave Miller |
We moved to Hillsborough NC in 1993. In December 1994, we attended our first GWRRA meeting and joined in February 1995. We were members of NC H-2 out of Durham NC, where we held the position of MED Coordinator and the position of Treasurer. We moved to Mebane NC in 1998 and joined NC N out of Burlington, continuing to be active with the Durham chapter. In 2000, we relocated to Jacksonville NC where we became members of NC F and held the positions of Couple of the Year, Assistant Chapter Directors and Chapter Directors.
In April 2004 we relocated to Mechanicsville, VA becoming members of VA-U and took on the position of Chapter Directors in January 2005. We currently hold the position of Chapter Treasurer, Newsletter Editor and MED Coordinator for Chapter U. Dave is also a Certified Rider Ed Instructor.
We are both Level IV riders. We have both taken the Group Riding Course and the Road Captain's Course as we feel it is as beneficial to the co-rider as it is to the rider to be knowledgeable about riding. I always take the Experienced Rider Course with Dave when it is time for him to renew, as well as taking the Co-Rider course to renew my Level IV.
Dave is employed as an Electrician through the Local 666 in Richmond and is currently working in West Virginia and I am employed at Wachovia Securities in Glen Allen as a paralegal in the Subpoena & Garnishment Unit.
When we met in 1973, we rode a 650 Benelli, moving to a 1200 full-dressed Harley in 1976, to a 500 Honda in 1979. In 1988 we bought a 1200 Honda Gold Wing, which we traded in 1995 for a 1990 1500 Gold Wing, trading for a 1999 1500 Gold Wing, with a matching trailer which we still ride and are now saving for an 1800.
