Les & Diana Warren
Hello Friends! I am Les Warren and I am taking this opportunity to introduce Diana and myself as Membership Coordinator. Currently we participate with Chapter VA-R out of Harrisonburg, Va. and I'll be helping (or maybe hindering?) your new Va. District Membership Enhancement Coordinators, CR and Diane Griffith.
Diana and I have been married since 1979 and live near Fairfield, Va. where we've been since transferring back from Northern Virginia in 1981. We have no children but we do have a "little girl' who often travels with us, car or bike. She's a Yorkie Pom that goes by the name "Abby". Diana has worked at Washington and Lee University, Virginia Military Institute, and for the Commonwealth of Virginia both in the DMV and VSP. I just retired in 2010 after over 31 years sworn service with the Virginia State Police myself.
In years past I have had several "Brit Bikes", a Norton Commando and two Triumph Tridents ... and still own the second. In 1995 we purchased our first Gold Wing upon the suggestion of a buddy, a 1985 GL-1200A in "Vintage Red" which we still have and then we joined GWRRA later that same year. At first, we just got the magazine and then in late 1997 we started checking out and then participating with Chapter VA-R in Harrisonburg and then we started making a whole bunch of new friends and memories as we got into "chapter life". In 2001 we became the Chapter Educators and then we stepped up to A-CD in 2005 and then in Nov 2006, we stepped up to take on Chapter Director duties at Chapter VA-R which we still perform. Along the way in 2004, we added a two tone "Candy Spectra Red" 1997 GL-1500SE / Lehman GTL Trike to our stable.
