Welcome to the Virginia District MED Page!

Hello everyone, and thanks for taking a look at the Membership Enhancement Program (MEP) webpage.

Our goal as your MEP Coordinators is to make sure that every member enjoys their time with GWRRA! Take some time to look around our page and links to the MEP programs. If you have any questions, feel free to get in touch with us. If you are looking for the official GWRRA MEP documents follow the link to GWRRA MEP.

On our page you will find links to information on the Membership Enhancement Program Coordinator (MEPC) position, the Couple of the Year program, the Chapter of the Year program, the Newsletter guidelines and contest and the Recruiting and Retention contest. You will also find links to the Virginia Hall of Honor, GWRRA Hall of Honor and Hall of Fame.

TheDistrictCouple of the Year is selected each year at Rally in the Valley in October. We are also your current 2013-2014 District Couple Glenn and Nanette Mizner of VA-B, Virginia Beach! We live by the GWRRA motto “Friends for Fun, Safety and Knowledge” and will do a great job in promoting visitation amongst not only the Virginia chapters, but among other Districts chapters and events. If you want some help in having fun, check with us!

The Chapter of the Year (CHOY) is announced each year in February, normally at Wingless Weekend. The winner for 2013is Chapter VA-B, Virginia Beach! Make a visit to Chapter B and take a look at what they have going on. We encourage each chapter to seek a CHOY coordinator tocollect input from other chapter participants such as the Newsletter Editor, Chapter Educator, MEPC, Ride Coordinator and others to keep track of the Chapter’s activities using the score sheet. This will make the submission at the end of the year a simple double check effort! Check out the official CHOY Guidelines at the tab to the left.

You can also find guidelines for the Newsletter contest as well as the winners over thepast few years. Our annual contest year runs from October to September. We award the Newsletter Editor of the Year at Rally in the Valley. The winner for 2013 was Chapter B, Virginia Beach, Newsletter Editor, Glenn Mizner and Chapter Directors, Bob and Ann Lutton! Take a look at one of their newsletters and perhaps you can pick up an idea or two that your newsletter editor can use to keep your participants better informed. Check out the official Newsletter Guidelines at the tab to the left.

Recruiting Contest guidelines can be found here too. Information on the contest for 2014 are posted as well. Stay on the lookout for motorcycle riders who may not be GWRRA members and engage them in a conversation on the benefits of becoming a GWRRA member.
