John and Michele Howe, Virginia District Educators

Michele and I joined GWRRA in July 2000 just after we bought our first Goldwing, a 2000 blue 1500SE.
I cried when old blue was sold this year after we bought a 2001 Illusion Red 1800.

We are Military transplants from the great state of North Dakota.  Michele is a Certified Surgical Technician and I am a Retired Army National Guard Aviation Major (34 years of service with 28 of those as an Army National Guard Helicopter Pilot).  I now work at the Army National Guard Readiness Center in Arlington, VA as a contractor working Aviation Personnel issues.

On Dec 15th 2010, Michele and I will have been married for 35 years. We still own a home in North Dakota and 80 Acers of land where we plan to build a new home some day (When I really retire).  We have a single Daughter in North Dakota and a married Son with three great kids in Montana. We have two Horses that our Son is taking care of and three adopted cats here in VA. (Michele will not let me have a dog).
