Our District Directors, Mike & Angie Mitchell
Angie and I have been fortunate to call GWRRA our extended family for approximately 18 years now.
We have served in many capacities; Assistant Chapter Directors (Hanover U), Chapter Directors, Senior Chapter Directors, Assistant District Directors, District Directors, Region N Directors and Senior Region N Directors. I currently serve as the National Coordinator for the Officer Certification Program, Special Projects for GWRRA, and I am part of the Events Management Group that puts on our national convention, Wing Ding.
Trading off on each other’s strong points, Angie and I have been a team this entire time, and our goals have stayed the same, that being what we can do to assist the members maximize the benefits derived from the Association. We are both Leadership Training Instructors and I am a Rider Education Seminar Presenter. We are both Master Tour Riders. We have had the best guidance and mentorships along the way, and will be eternally grateful to those from every level who have been instrumental to our success.
And, the best thing of all is that because of our association with GWRRA, we have made friends from coast to coast, and continue to make more.
We call Richmond, Virginia our home, and are fortunate to have many our family members within the same area. I am currently the Vice President of West End Machine and Welding, and Angie works part time as a paralegal for a law firm here in Richmond. We are blessed with two beautiful daughters, Amanda and Jenna, and although all grown up, they are still our little girls. An additional family member is our ten year old beagle who answers to both Buddy and Pookie. Sometimes Angie and I just don’t agree on things. We were married in 1995 by our Chapter Directors, GWRRA style.
I currently ride a 1999 SE dubbed the Tiggermobile, and a 2006 C 90 Boulevard. I enjoy long distance riding, including Iron Butt Rides. I often take off for lunch on the weekends in Biloxi or Orlando or wherever good food and friends are found.
We look forward to our new adventures with Virginia and its members and look forward to seeing everyone at the various events.
