HEADLIGHT & BRAKELIGHT MODULATOR STATUTES - The issue of the legality of headlight & brakelight modulators is always a topic of discussion in motorcycling circles. To make sure that everyone has the very latest information concerning the acceptability of these units, please go here to download the applicable Federal and VA State statutes (90k PDF). It would probably be a good idea to carry copies of these on your bike with you if you have one of these units installed. Go to the VA State law revised to allow modulating brakelights. The VA Coalition of Motorcyclists (VCOM), has fought long & hard to help defend our motorcycling rights in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Go to their website and find out how, and to become a member. You may also read VCOM's positions on the various legislation that is brought before our state General Assembly.
DID YOU SEE THE GORILLA - If you've ever wondered how drivers could look you right in the eye, and then go ahead and pull right out in front of you on your bike, then maybe this article from the American Motorcyclist will help explain the problems.
